Boral Scholarship

Boral has made it a practice to hire, develop and retain the best people.  In return, we believe our employees deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, and supported in their educational endeavors.  This support includes encouraging Boral employees who are parents of young people with college potential to guide their children toward college.

Boral Scholarship Program 2021

For the 21st consecutive year, we are pleased to offer the Boral Scholarship Program. Eligible dependents of Boral employees are invited to apply for one of six scholarships that will be awarded for the academic year ending in 2022. Each scholarship is for $4,000 per year for up to four (4) years – a total of $16,000!

Applications are reviewed by a panel of independent judges who have no relationship with Boral Industries. Each application is evaluated on on academic competence, responsibility, character and financial need.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • A child whose parent has been employed by Boral for more than one year, and
  • Will graduate from high school and enter college in 2021.

In order to complete the online application, you will need the following:

  • Applicant personal information, awards, activities, goals, hobbies, employment history, financial information, and references
  • Parent financial information
    - If you are the step-child of the Boral employee, you will need your other parent’s financial information including the amount they plan on contributing to school and any other income provided by him/her.
  • High School Transcript to include first semester senior year grades, SAT/ACT scores and class rank/class size.
  • Essay explaining what you plan to study/major in, why you chose this field, and what you hope to achieve by studying this area (may attach word or PDF doc or type into application)
  • Essay discussing a special attribute or accomplishment that sets you apart from other applicants (may attach word or PDF doc or type into application)
