New Boral TruExterior 8- and 10-Inch Bevel Siding Combines Unmatched Authenticity, High Performance

New Boral TruExterior® 8- and 10-Inch Bevel Siding
Combines Unmatched Authenticity, High Performance

Highly anticipated new siding offers shadow lines and taper not seen in other manmade materials,
along with low maintenance, durability and dimensional stability.

ROSWELL, Georgia (Jan. 10, 2017) – Boral® is introducing its most highly anticipated products yet: Boral TruExterior® 8-inch and 10-inch Bevel Siding, which combine unmatched authenticity with superior, long-lasting performance. The new Bevel profile boasts a true taper and deep shadow lines that mimic wood like no other manmade material has been able to achieve. At the same time, the siding reduces the moisture- and thermal movement-related issues commonly seen with natural and some alternative materials.

Made with Boral’s proprietary blend of polymers and fly ash, TruExterior Bevel Siding offers a high level of dimensional stability for reduced expansion and contraction, and durability for resistance to warping, cracking, and splitting. As a result, the material requires no sealing of ends or cuts in the field, it can be used in ground-contact applications, and it can be painted any color, including dark hues.

“Since we first launched Boral TruExterior Siding & Trim, our customers have been clamoring for 8- and 10-inch Bevel Siding, and what we developed is worthy of that anticipation,” said Tom Zimmerman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Boral’s Light Building Products Division. “No other siding product, natural or manmade, can match the superior combination of looks and performance of our 8-inch and 10-inch Bevel profiles.  The high-end looks are truly representative of wood, while the products’ dimensional stability and long-term durability are simply unmatched.”

Bevel Siding installs with standard woodworking tools, and its workability exceeds that of wood. Along with the new 8- and 10-inch nominal widths, a 6-inch width is also available.

Boral TruExterior Siding is made in the USA, contains a minimum of 70% recycled content and carries a 20-year limited warranty.
