The Live.Work.Learn design competition, sponsored by Boral Bricks Inc., was open to all architectural students. They designed plans for a Washington D.C. live/work project that included one main component: exterior finishes that demonstrate the creative use of bricks. The main competition objectives were to encourage and reward excellence in the creative use of brick on the exteriors.
Winner - Eun Grace Ko
The winner of the Live.Work.Learn competition was Eun Grace Ko from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. She received $5,000 and was flown to the AIA convention in Washignton D.C to personally accept the check and see the winning entries displayed at the convention.
The two honorable mentions prizes of $2,500 each were also awarded to Siqi Liu from the University of Texas at Austin and to Brandon Block from Auburn University in Auburn, AL.
